Tameo March 1/43 Vittorio Brambilla – winner Austria 1975

I’ve always been a fan of 43rd scale model cars – many years ago (too many!) I built a fair number of them, but then got into larger scale cars, armour and military figures.   Recently I’ve started back into building motorsport related models (figures mainly) and after seeing a build-thread of one of these Tameo kits on Britmodeller, I  got a real buzz to “have a go” so browsing on-line recently I picked up two kits on Ebay this one; a March 751 and the other a Brabham BT26 (by SMTS).   Of the two, the Tameo is manufactured to a … Continue reading Tameo March 1/43 Vittorio Brambilla – winner Austria 1975

Ayrton Senna 1/20 scale figure – WIP

Still working on my WIP line-up.  This one is of Ayrton Senna (an old Modellers figure) 1/20 in resin.  I decided to depict him wearing his own logo on what was going to be a very plain white t shirt.  Using acrylics, I’ve blocked in the main colours and have  added the stitching detail on the suit.  I’ll add some Marlboro logos and the like to inject more interest and in particular, I’ll add a large Marlboro panel to the back of the suit…… and the work continues – more later. Michael Schumacher 1/20 figure – WIP Monaco 2006

Ayrton Senna – “Senninha” 1/20 scale figure WIP

This 1/20 scale resin figure of Ayrton Senna has been in my WIP line-up for a while now, and today I eventually got back to painting in some more of the details.   Using a photo of him taken at his home Grand Prix in Brazil (the first GP in ’94), I decided to depict him wearing one of his “Senninha” type T shirts which features the comic character logo of his charitible foundation. So far I’ve just outlined the Senninha graphic on the T shirt with medium values – the boots have been given some initial shading as have the … Continue reading Ayrton Senna – “Senninha” 1/20 scale figure WIP
