Posed beside a “sorry looking” Porsche 917 is Pedro Rodriguez wearing his trademark Deerstalker hat, figure and car in 1/43 rd scale.   The Porsche is depicted in its “Battle-scarred” state following the Sebring 12 hours in 1971.  Jackie Oliver partnered Rodriguez in the race, and despite the extensive frontal damage to the car, the pair brought the Porsche home in 4th place.  Like many professional drivers during that era, Rodriquez, drove in both sports cars and Formula 1, so I popped him onto the grid (with that other group I’m working on at the moment) and snapped a couple of pictures.
