Workbench

Some workbench subjects including a 75mm Vietnam Special forces (metal) figure.

If I remember correctly, the brand was named Mil-Art although I presume it is now no longer produced.

I originally painted it about 10 years ago and recently I was drawn to it in my display cabinet. I was never happy with the head/facial features of the figure and before long I found myself masking the torso and legs and applying paint stripper to the head. I wasn’t too sure what I was going to do to improve the face so after I finished stripping the paint, I undercoated it and put it back in the cabinet. Some weeks later, (after seeing an image online of the Punisher) I came up with the idea of using the Punisher instead of camouflage paint. It’s still not finished but at least it’s at a stage where it satisfies my objective and I’ll finish him off later.

Others (in a much smaller scale) are a selection of Foundry miniatures in 28mm and this is possibly the third time I’ve painted such a group, including Sisters of the Empire, Judge Dredd (and friends).

A small section of harbor dock is intended as an addition to a 1/72 Revell U boat as it sails out on the “Hunt”. The Uboat diorama is another unfinished piece I’ve been looking at for years and it was only recently that I came up with the idea of adding the harbor dock – sometimes it’s like that with pieces, they never quite get done until they are done!
