1/18 Audi R8 V10 – Customised
A 1/18 diecast by Kyosho of an Audi R8 V10 which I have customised slightly.
As usual, it’s a fine model from Kyosho of the R8 in a slightly matt “camo” green colour. The model has all panels opening and inside the trim is decked out in a nut brown “leather” which beautifully compliments the exterior green paint finish. The rear glass panel lifts to expose the business part of the R8, the gorgeous V10 powerplant. As it stands, the model looks excellent, however, I felt it was possible to improve the overall look slightly and to this end, I decided to add some sporting decals. In keeping with the matt paint finish I sourced some matt decal paper (in the appropriate colours) and applied the Audi Sport stripes to the front and rear shanks. In addition, I added Audi Sport lettering to the rear and added a sun visor to the front windscreen with the same lettering. I finished it all off with Michelin Sport lettering to the outer tyre walls. The additional decals makes this model a “one off” unique example and it is available now to buy on eBay .
