GRAHAM HILL – F1 DENIZEN FIGURE
I’ve done slight modifications to this figure using a small bit of Miliput to create the nomex scarf around the chin neck area (which I think is so reminicent of many of the Graham Hill images). “Wiki” links below give more details; Norman Graham Hill (15 February 1929 – 29 November 1975) was a British racing driver and two-time Formula One World Champion. He was born in Hampstead, London. Graham Hill is the only driver to win the so-called Triple Crown of Motorsport and, with his son Damon, is part of the only father and son pair both to have … Continue reading GRAHAM HILL – F1 DENIZEN FIGURE
ENZO FERRARI – F1 TRACKPASS MINIATURE
A vary nice figure from Trackpass of Enzo – destined to pop up in many of the F1 Dioramas I have planned for my site! “Wiki” links below provide more details; Enzo Anselmo Ferrari (February 18, 1898[1] – August 14, 1988) Cavaliere di Gran Croce OMRI[2] was an Italian race car driver and entrepreneur, the founder of the Scuderia Ferrari Grand Prix motor racing team, and subsequently of the Ferrari car manufacturer. He was often referred to as “il Commendatore” Continue reading ENZO FERRARI – F1 TRACKPASS MINIATURE
JO SIFFERT – DENIZEN F1 DRIVER FIGURE (without sunglasses!)
Another version of the Jo Siffert figure – this time without sunglasses! “Wiki” links blow povid more details: Joseph Siffert (July 7, 1936 – October 24, 1971) was a Swiss racing driver. Affectionately known as “Seppi” to his family and close friends, Siffert was born in Fribourg, Switzerland, the son of a dairy owner. He initially made his name in racing on two wheels, powering his way to the Swiss 350 cc motorcycle championship in 1959, before switching to four wheels with a Formula Junior Stanguellini. Siffert graduated to Formula One as a privateer in 1962, with a four-cylinder Lotus–Climax. He … Continue reading JO SIFFERT – DENIZEN F1 DRIVER FIGURE (without sunglasses!)
JO SIFFERT – DENIZEN F1 FIGURE – (with sunglasses!)
I modified a Denizen figure to represent Jo Siffert – using miliput I gave him the nomex scarf and I also added a pair of aviator sunglasses which he seemed to wear when driving sports cars. Continue reading JO SIFFERT – DENIZEN F1 FIGURE – (with sunglasses!)
MORE F1 DRIVER FIGURES
I posted these photos recently in a discussion thread on the the F1 modelling forum – it just keeps my site updated and provides me with some badly needed motivation to keep making and painting a vast backlog of unmade figures!: http://www.f1m.com/main/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13963&start=10 Continue reading MORE F1 DRIVER FIGURES
PEOPLES ART EXHIBITION STEPHENS GREEN DUBLIN 2010
The August session of the Peoples Art Exhibition 2010 took place Fri- Sun 20-22nd on what was a warm (and mainly dry) week-end. The exhibition (which takes place three times a year on three week-ends during June, Aug & Sept) is always a great attraction for visitors, tourists and indeed Dubliners, and this year was no exception. While lots of people visited the exhibition, sales were significantly down but this didn’t prevent everyone from enjoying themselves. Look out for the next session which takes place 24- 26th September 2010.
