Slowly but surely….

……yes, I’ve finally finished painting the groundwork and grass on the (Spa) photographer so he’s ready to move on at last! Â As I had some black left over on my mixing palette, I used it up by giving the chrome suspension (and cockpit) of the Cooper Climax a wash and once dried, I’ll give it a dry-brushing of gunmetal and silver and pick out the detail in a more subtle way. Severe case of “Painters whiplash” – but I’m on the mend!!

The dangers of miniature figure painting are hugely underrated; there I was drawing the brush along the figure concentrating hard on keeping a straight line and then, the brush slipped, and I felt the most awful shooting pain right up my arm into my neck and resulting in what the doctors say is the first recorded case of “Painters whiplash”!! – doh – joke, joke,!!
