I eventually got the red sectors painted together with some additional logos on the shirt and dark folds on the trousers Continue reading “Job done!”
“A change is as good as a rest…..”

….as the saying goes! Â After all that tartan in 43rd scale I took a giant leap in scale to 1/18th and did some work instead on this CRAFT10 resin figure of Fangio – what a relief! Continue reading ““A change is as good as a rest…..””
Nearly there…….

What colours for the “Flying Scot”?

Nicknamed the “Flying Scot”many years ago for his speed on the track and wearing his trademark tartan-banded helmet as he drove to win three World Championships. Now retired from racing, Jackie Stewart is still very much a part of the F1 world today and his “tartan clad presence” in the pit-lane is often in evidence during TV broadcasts! Just a quick post to facilitate photo’s for an Ebay auction. Â The car is a 1/43rd scale diecast by Quartzo which I have sharpened up a bit – and the Brabham figure in the same scale is a metal casting by Scalelink painted as usual in Valejo acrylics. Continue reading “Jack Brabham & Cooper T51”
On Ebay this week….

These metal 1/43rd scale metal figures are currently for sale on Ebay – Colin Chapman is a Scalelink figure which I have painted up in the JPS colours. Â It’s a reasonable likeness to the man himself and of course he is posed holding his famous “victory” hat! Continue reading “On Ebay this week….”
Nelson Piquet World Champion & BT52

This is a Denizen casting which I’ve modified slightly to represent three time world champion (’81 & ’83 with Brabham and ’87 at Williams) Nelson Piquet. Continue reading “Nelson Piquet World Champion & BT52”
“Black Jack” Brabham

Jack Brabham was the first (and still the only) man in the history of the sport to win the world championship driving his own car – a record which will probably never be surpassed. Continue reading ““Black Jack” Brabham”
Two “Chappies”

Chapman large and small (or should that be Chapmen – doh!) in 1/20 and 1/43 scale- there’s quite a difference when they stand side by side. Continue reading “Two “Chappies””
